Natural Heritage: Gardening for Butterflies at Capodistrias Museum
As part of the 2025 Corfu Garden Festival, join us at the museum on Wednesday, 30 April, for an enlightening event celebrating butterflies and the natural heritage of Corfu. With two talks—one in English at 11:00 and another in Greek at 12:30—this event will captivate gardening enthusiasts, butterfly lovers, and those interested in Corfu's rich flora and fauna.

Come and join us for a Birthday Party celebrating one year of the Sinies Community Garden! The Garden will be open from 14:00, with activities for children and advice for community members and visitors about composting. There will be refreshments for all and we will be proud to present Sinies Cultural Association’s Children’s Dance Group. Everyone welcome!
Sinies Community Garden is open and accessible, but unmanned, all day. Visitors are welcome any time, any day, during the course of the Corfu Garden Festival.
Access to the Community Garden is free. Everyone is welcome.

Nature’s feast at Kaisers Throne

Expressive painting & creating - floral CollageArt
Joyful and light-hearted, we are going to explore possibilities to create rich floral paintings. We will start with a background based on acrylic colours, later using various techniques and materials following our intuition and inspiration to create blossoms, leaves and more.

The Orchard - Organic Farm
The Orchard is a fledgling permaculture project located in Platonas, north Corfu. Our aim is to create a polyculture system, better known as “Food Forest”. In the property there are already well established trees, mainly Olives and Figs. We plan to diversify and intensify the life above and below the soil in order to establish a self-fertilising and regenerative system. We are in the initial stages of supporting soil fertility and biodiversity, mainly perennial plants.

Sinies Community Garden - Ancient Greek and Hawaiian Massage Techniques
Angeliki in full period costume will carry out a lively demonstration of the sacred art of Ancient Greek massage and Hawaiian Massage, both of which are historic and highly energetic methods. This is a unique show, not to be missed. It highlights the relationship between the natural environment and the power of human touch.

Reiki in the Garden
Maria Fanarioti, massage and alternative therapist, will give the gift of Reiki to visitors. She will offer five-minute therapies on the fifth chakra, called the ‘Vishuddha Chakra’ (the throat chakra), our centre of communication.

Orchid Q&A - Rob Allan
ORCHID TALK AND DISPLAY:
International orchid expert, Rob Allen will have a display of orchids that he has bred. He will be available throughout the day to discuss his plants and answer your questions.
His will be at Villa Ypatia in Kommeno

Liapades Recycling Centre
The volunteers from the Liapades Recycling Centre will host a bazaar of brand new summer clothing and accessories at the opening of the Liapades School Community Garden. All proceeds raised will be given to good causes and reinvested into the Liapades School Community Garden.

Dan Danahar, biodiversity educationalist and founder of the Corfu Butterfly Conservation CBC, will talk to us about the variety of butterfly species found on the island, how they change throughout the year, what you can do to attract them to your garden, as well as the work of CBC.

My name is Eleni and I am an herbalist, living and working on the island for more than twenty years. We will walk together in the “wild” gardens of Corfu to meet plants that have been traditionally used for food, healing or other purposes and plants used in modern herbal medicine. The route is quite easy but be prepared to stop quite often to speak about the plants along the way.

A Year in Corfu - Painting and Gardening
Before moving to Corfu in 2023, Susan was an artist in Canada. Her love of the natural world is interpreted in an impressionistic, colourful style using acrylics on canvas.
Our garden is very much a work in progress; most of the plants and cuttings have been in less than a year. Demolished stone from the interior of the house has been repurposed into olive rounds and the old stair railings into an exterior guard rail. You are welcome to wander around and see what we have done.

Theotoky Estate - Winery tour and Tasting
Theotoky Estate is one of the oldest wineries in Greece and has been in our family for 5 generations.
Our guests will have a guided tour to the olive trees, to the bottling area, the bottle cellar and try one of our white wines and olive oil with bread. This is free of charge .

Dr Kavvadia's Olive Oil Tasting
Olive oil tasting and farm tour at Dr Kavvadia who was an orthopaedic surgeon who lived on the island of Corfu many years ago. The Doctor's greatest passion was producing olive oil from his centenarian olive grove, a very special grove, from a local variety called “Lianelia”.

Capodistrias Museum
The Capodistrias Museum will offer as part of our participation to the Garden Festival two talks on Sunday April 21 on the Museum Garden and the history/use/characteristics of its estate, in Greek and English. The museum will be open and you will be able to walk around the beautiful grounds of the museum.

Konstantina Yannaki - Ceramic class at Porta
Join Konstantina at her pottery studio, Reon in Sinies, for a unique workshop at the annual Corfu garden festival. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Sinies area while gathering Corfu wildflowers. Learn the art of pressing the flowers into clay and painting them to create a special clay plate that you can take home with you as a memory of your experience.
Hilary Whitton - Ermones Wildflower Walk
After setting off from Ermones, we climb the coastal hills (total ascent about 400 metres in length with a couple of steep parts). Our onward route is an undulating track through forest and olive groves, with fine views over the valley. We then descend to cross the valley floor and return by a mainly flat track through old woodland and finally through fields. Some parts may be wet underfoot. An optional lunch awaits at the wonderful Taverna Apomero, in the deep countryside of the Roda Valley.

The Hellenic Theatre/Drama & Education Network (TENet-Gr) and the Prevention Center of Addictions and Promotion of Psychosocial Health P.E. Corfu Municipality "Nikos Moros", present the interactive Theater Theatre of the Oppressed-Forum performance, " Οur Cherry Orchard is also Wonderful!" . Wanting to contribute to exploring attitudes and opinions and raising awareness about complex issue of the close interaction of Health with the environment.
