Hilary Whitton - Wildflower Walk

Hilary is the founder of the Corfu Trail.

Join us for a scenic herbal walk along the slopes of Mount Pantokrator, starting on the road between Strinilas and Pantokrator. This gentle downhill route, retraced on the way back, offers a chance to immerse yourself in Corfu’s rich spring flora. On previous walks, we’ve encountered several species of orchids alongside a variety of other fascinating wildflowers. If the skies are clear, expect breathtaking panoramic views stretching across the island—though even in mist, the landscape holds a quiet charm.

After the walk, an optional lunch at Oasis Taverna in Strinilas. Please confirm your spot a few days in advance, as Sundays are particularly busy.

This is a perfect opportunity to connect with nature, enjoy the beauty of Corfu in bloom, and savor a relaxed day outdoors.

Meeting Point:
Meet at 10.45 for 11.00 start. Approximate walking time two hours.

The walk will start from the road leading to the Pantokrator summit from Strinilas.
To get there, go through the village of Strinilas towards Pantokrator and Petalia. About 400 metres after leaving Strinilas and before Petalia, the road to Pantokrator goes off to the right, straight on as the main road bends sharp left. Follow this road uphill for about 700 metres and at the top of the hill you will see a track on the left of the road. This is the meeting point. Park at the side of the road, making sure your car does not obstruct traffic.
