Natural Heritage: Gardening for Butterflies at Capodistrias Museum

Natural Heritage: Gardening for Butterflies
English (11:00 - 12:00) & Greek (12:30 - 13:30)

As part of the 2025 Corfu Garden Festival, join us at the museum on Saturday, 26 April, for an enlightening event celebrating butterflies and the natural heritage of Corfu. With two talks—one in English at 11:00 and another in Greek at 12:30—this event will captivate gardening enthusiasts, butterfly lovers, and those interested in Corfu's rich flora and fauna.

The keynote speaker, Mrs Anna Sordina, Educational Outreach Officer for CBC, working in collaboration with Capodistrias Museum and supported by IEF, will share valuable insights, while the Museum’s Director, Mrs Maya Charalampopoulou will introduce the Koukouritsa estate’s history. A guided tour will highlight the museum’s biodiversity management plan, focusing on creating a butterfly-friendly habitat.

This event is an excellent opportunity to network with fellow nature enthusiasts, learn about sustainability efforts, and explore ways to support ongoing conservation initiatives. We look forward to raising awareness of the vital role butterflies play in our environment and connecting with passionate volunteers.
