Lafki Mosaic Garden

Lafki

At an altitude of 420 m above sea level Alyson's north facing garden has evolved over the last 25 years to become the plant lover's treat that you see today.

Originally an untended strip of land, the collapsed walls and terraces have been restored and every inch is richly planted. Two large oak and various fruit trees offer shade.

Set on three levels a wide range of flowering shrubs, perennials, bulbs and annuals ensure there is colour and scent throughout the year.

A collection of cacti and succulents is given a special place and the pond attracts all kinds of wildlife. This is also a productive garden with cherries, apricot, pomegranate, quince, peaches and raised beds that produce salad greens and a range of summer vegetables not forgetting soft fruit.

Nestled amongst the planting are Alyson's statement sculptures showcasing her work as a mosaic artist and her passion for colour and form.Making the most of the terrain, Alyson has created features and intimate seating spaces that make the most of the spectacular views.
