Hilary Whitton - Sokraki Wildflower Walk

Hilary is the founder of the Corfu Trail. She will lead the group on a beautiful walk from Sokraki.

During this visit to the isolated mountain village of Sokraki, we shall explore the alleyways of this working settlement with its very fine views. We shall then take a walk into the forest nearby and hopefully find some spring flowers that are still blooming at this altitude. On return to the village, we shall view a traditional olive press, now a museum, and have the chance to purchase its merchandise. We then return to our transport and enjoy an optional lunch at the enormously popular Sokraki Villas taverna, itself very traditional in style and a showcase for the area’s products.

Please indicate at the beginning of the walk if you would like to join us for lunch so we can book the taverna.

Meet at 10.30 for 11.00 start. Duration of walk about 2 hours (lunch not included).

Please wear comfortable clothes and good walking shoes or trainers.
