Enchanting Open Gardens: Explore Corfu's Serene Beauty
The island of Corfu has an international reputation as one of the most beautiful Greek islands. It has been called ‘The Garden of the Gods” and is a destination for those who love gardens. The Corfu Garden Festival, now in its eighth year, is a celebration of some of the gardens, communities and individuals that help to keep this island a world renown destination. During the Festival many of the island’s gardens will be opening for one day so you can experience this beauty yourself. Included are a wide range of gardens, from some of the large historic estate gardens to modern gardens designed with ecology and waterwise principles in mind; productive gardens and farms; manicured gardens and natural gardens; from private gardens to community gardens. You will also have the chance to meet up with old friends and connect with some of the people who create and care for these gardens, those who are inspired to care for the whole ‘garden’ of Corfu, artists who are inspired by nature in all its forms.
A number of walks, workshops and tastings are being held for you to experience and be inspired by the beauty of Corfu.
Come and join in with the garden festival and experience the island of Corfu from a different perspective.

Meet the organisers
Rosey Boehm & Christina Lambert
The Corfu Garden Festival began in 2018 as the Corfu Open Gardens Weekend, founded by Rachel Weaving and Alithea Johns. Annie Laughton took over in 2021, and it is now led by Rosey Boehm and Christina Lambert, two professional gardeners.
Rosey and Christina moved from Athens to Corfu a few years ago and are deeply connected to the island, working as garden designers and gardeners. Longtime Mediterranean Garden Society members, they bring extensive event-planning experience and a deep passion for plants, gardens, and nature.
As the festival expands, Lynette Matthews, Elena Grammiou and Jean Ridley-Thomas have joined them to form a five-member committee to support them in making it even better. They hope to welcome as many visitors as possible to experience Corfu’s gardens, workshops, and events, sharing a love for gardens, nature, and beauty.
